Approaching the top of Bugarach

Ascending Bugarach is usually done from the north side. This route at first gains height quite gradually by taking a diagonal tack through woodland, before becoming steeper as it approaches the ridge dividing the east and west sides of the summit. This photo is after the ridge, where the footpath is something of a scramble, about a kilometre from the summit itself.
