Villa l'Enclos bed and breakfast is situated on the Cote d'Opale in a cluster of houses only a few metres from the beach in the fishing village of Audresselles, with cafe life and village centre just metres away. Dating from the 11th Century, Audresselles has a natural beach of sand, pebble and rock pools, on the edge of the beautiful Parc Naturel. Popular with walkers, cyclists, bathers, and anglers; and regularly visited by sailing enthusiasts, surfers and wind surfers. As well as featuring several excellent restaurants, three working farms with farm shops, it's within easy access to other villages and towns on the Opal Coast.
Access from port of Calais and Eurotunnel is a 20 minute journey on the A16 or 40 minutes by scenic coastal route D940 straight to the village.
The house is three storeys high, offering second floor private accommodation of three double bedded rooms, with the option of converting one bedroom to a single, one with en-suite cabin, and a family bathroom with shower bath. The breakfast room is on the first floor, the garden room seating area is on the ground floor, private walled garden with patio. With space for a maximum of 6 persons and baby to share; it is suitable for families, groups and couples. Babies under two years of age go free; travel cot available.You don't have a pool, but you do have a beach and the ocean at your disposal.
Provided: clean 100% cotton bedding, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel, tea and coffee making facilities. Drinks on arrival are served in the breakfast room or in the garden room. A continental breakfast is included in the accommodation price.
Available on request are full English breakfast, laundry service, meal on arrival, snacks, packed lunches, afternoon tea, and main meals including vegetarian options. All food is freshly prepared to order.
Fishing and farming are essential to the way of life in Audresselles and every year in the month of June there is the Fete de Crabe, where fresh caught crab is a delicacy and sold in all the restaurants. During the summer, along the Opale Coast, the benediction of the sea takes place in each village in turn, and the rare breed Boulonnais horses are often seen in the village.
Entertainment: Fireworks on the coast mark the beginning of the French holiday season, 14th July. Leaflets and information are available giving events, venues dates and times. Including Nausicaa sea world in Boulogne, with fetes up and down the coast, as well as golf and water sports.
Shopping is very accessible with City Europe, Calais, Medieval Old Town in Boulogne, boutiques and small shops in Wimereux, Le Touquet and a street market every monday in Audresselles. There are local farms that sell fresh produce daily and a market every Friday in Wimereux.
Relaxation: If tranquility is your idea of a holiday just walk to the cove or past the beautiful 11th Century church and enjoy the air and the countryside that goes all the way down to the sea; relax or have a meal in the garden, walk, picnic in the parc naturel or take the coastal path on foot, or by bicycle. Check out the anscient history or the War Museums located close to the village. Or come before the 14th July when you and the fishermen can have the beach to yourselves.
Smoking is not allowed in the villa or in the garden. We want everyone to have a good holiday, as well as a safe and healthy one.
