Vaujany is a small Alpine village at an altitude of 1250 metres in the Oisans area of the Isere. Facing towards the Grandes Rousses massif, the village is a blend of traditional and modern, and has a good range of shops - including a Spar for provisions - plus restaurants, bars, a leisure centre, and all essential services on hand.

Vaujany is a great base for skiing. Linked by cable car to several nearby ski areas, 220km of managed slopes are accessible from the village. There's also a huge expanse of mountain snow for off-piste skiing and snowboarding.

Three chalet-style buildings make up Les Portes de l'Oisans. South-facing, the residence is close to the centre of Vaujany, convenient for the shops and restaurants. An escalator and free shuttle run to the ski lifts and ski schools, which are about 400 metres away.

Accommodation is on a self catering basis, and the apartments come in four sizes: Studios sleep up to 4 and 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments sleep, respectively, 6, 7 and 8. All have a fully equipped kitchen area with two hotplates, an oven, a fridge and a dishwasher, and a bathroom and separate toilet. Some of the apartments have a balcony.

Three apartments have been adapted for disabled guests.

The residence has a launderette, and ski lockers are available.

'Aprés Ski' activities in the village include ice skating, leisure centre with swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, jacuzzi and Turkish bath. Library, and activity room with board games, table tennis, etc.

Vaujany is approx 56km by road from Grenoble. Rail travel by TGV from Paris to Grenoble takes approx 3 hours. Regular transfer coaches run to Vaujany for the Grenoble St Geoirs airport and railway station at Grenoble.
