La Lindus is a typical Charentaise stone built house, located in the heart of Migron in a quiet lane behind the mediaeval church. The house is the holiday home for the owners and therefore all furnishings are to a high standard.
The property is entered via the large 50m² lounge complete with full length shuttered windows, beams and traditional Charentaise fireplaces at both ends of the room, one with a woodburner. The room benefits from two four seater sofas and a 9ft long oak table with seating for six on contemporary leather chairs. A dvd player is available with a range of English language films for all tastes.
The large kitchen is traditionally French with tiled surfaces and curtained cupboards, yet is extensively equipped with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker. A pine table and chairs provide seating for breakfasts if outdoors is too hot in the morning.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor, all with their own shuttered window and timber floors. Sleeping accommodation consists of one kingsize bed, one double bed and a double bed with a bunk above. All rooms have their own wardrobes and chests.
The large bathroom has a wc, basin and bath, plus a separate shower in its own enclosure. The property also benefits from an additional cloakroom with wc and basin on the first floor.
To the front of the property is an enclosed gated garden with ample space to park a car. The rear of the house has a 150' enclosed rear garden mainly laid to grass with trees and shrubs. Garden chairs and a table with a large chimneyed barbecue are provided for those long summer evenings.
Appliances: Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, Cooker, Toaster, Dishwasher and Washing machine. The house unusually has electric heating throughout and is on mains drainage.
The small village of Migron, with its pretty, 11th-century stone church, is perfect for those who are looking for tranquility, yet don't want to be too remote from key facilities. Migron boasts a bakers and a newly opened butchers at the end of the lane, along with a post office.
