Sallèles d'Aude is a wine-producing village in the Languedoc, and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Canal du Midi. As a village it has existed since Roman times when it was the centre of wine jug production - the amphorae were used to send the local wine back to Rome. Wine is still an important feature here, surrounded as we are by the Minervois immediately to the north, the Corbières to the south, and La Clape just to the east.
Eat in, or eat out
Enjoy an apéritif on the terrace then join us for our Table d'Hôte - a four course home cooked dinner, using local products wherever possible, accompanied by (unlimited) Vins de Pays, coffee and mints. Please book ahead, and let us know of any special dietary requirements.
There are also many restaurants in the area, and we have done our best to test them all.
We accept payment by Visa or Mastercard and Paypal, and can accept cheques in Euros payable in France, as well as cash.
We normally take a deposit of the cost of the accommodation for the first night, which is non-returnable in the case of a cancellation with less than 48 hours notice, depending on length of stay booked.
