The accommodation
Vaulted open plan lounge dining room, large leather family sofa, TV, DVD player, selection of DVDs and books.
Fully equipped kitchen. Including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave/grill/oven, cooker, and fridge. Large dining table, easily seats 6.
Two bedrooms, one a double and the other a twin with two single beds. Two shower rooms, one en-suite.
Outside
Private enclosed heated splash pool, surrounded by a patio. Private boules court, barbecue, potato pit, garden chairs and loungers.
The house and grounds have the wow factor as soon as you drive in through the gate and up the twisting drive past the pond to the front door. Inside it is visually dramatic with vaulted lounge/dining room and huge manorial fire place with large wood burning stove and stock of wood. The lounge area has a family-sized deep leather sofa and a large leather chair for relaxing. The two hand made Moroccan rugs, cushions and silk curtains give the room a very warm, homely atmosphere. A flat screen TV, DVD player and large selection of DVDs, books and indoor games available for your entertainment. The dining table is large enough to seat up to 8 people. French windows open onto a veranda and overlook the garden, swimming pool, barbecue and pond. Plenty of room for the dog to explore.
There are two attractive bedrooms. The main double room is upstairs with French windows opening on to a 'Juliet' balcony with views over the surrounding countryside. This room has an en-suite shower-room with toilet, power-shower and a modern stone and vanity unit. The other bedroom a twin, is located downstairs and comes with two comfortable single beds and plenty of storage space. This room is next door to the main family shower room, which has a toilet, large walk in shower cubicle with power-shower, modern sink and vanity unit.
The house has a well equipped kitchen, full size cooker, fridge, microwave/grill/oven, dishwasher and washing machine, plentiful work surfaces and enough cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, pots and pans for up to eight people.
Outside, there is a private splash pool with a deck surround and a selection of chairs for relaxing. The purpose built barbecue and 'potato pit' ideal for alfresco dining is complimented with two dining tables that will seat up to 6 people each. There is a boules court which is always good fun for all the family. Paths have been cut through the wood to make exploring easier and benches dotted around if the going gets too energetic.
Plumeliau is the closest town with 2 supermarkets - both open on a Sunday morning, chemist, florist, bread shops, bars, and local vet. Pontivy or Baud are the nearest larger towns.
Ty Bois is a no smoking house.

Wonderful house and wood. We have 2 boys ages 6 and 8 they have had the time of their lives, got up into pool, then onto lake in the boat, made a den and played in the wood, 7pm bed exhausted, what more can you ask of a holiday. Oh the glass of wine after they have gone to bed. Fantastic.

Local Area
Plumeliau is approximately 5kms away with bread shops, a must in France. Two supermarkets - both offer Sunday morning opening, a chemist and a florist.
Pontivy, a beautiful old market town has some really good restaurants, shops, the market on Monday sells local produce, vegetables, cheeses, meats and 'the rotiserie' cooked chickens and roasted potatoes.
Baud is smaller, but still has an excellent restaurant the Cheval Blanc, a post card museum and it's market on Saturday.
Vannes is the closest seaside town about 30 minutes drive away. A beautiful old harbour town with timber houses, the chateaux and gardens, lavoir, wonderful restaurants, fresh seafood being a speciallity, shops to die for and again a fantastic market on Saturday and Wednesday morning.
Carnac has sheltered long sandy beaches, with play areas for the children as well as the white train that takes you round the town, beaches and the prehistoric standing stones.
There is so much history in the area, with chateaux at Josslin, Largoet, Vannes, Sarzeau, churches at St Nichodeme, St Gildas, and medieval towns Dinard, Vannes, Rennes and Josselin to list just a few.
Attractions
Karting is available just outside Plumeliau. Canoes can be hired in St Nicholas des Eaux.
With the rolling countryside and quiet lanes it is an excellent place for walking and cycling. The Blavet river and the canal are 10 mins drive away. Their tow paths are excellent for easy walking or cycling.
Horse riding and a 9 hole golf course are available in Bieuzy. Tennis courts in Baud. Bowling is available in Pontivy.
Camours has a forest adventure park, fun for all the family, tree top ladders, swings slides etc.
Fishing on the Blavet or on the lakes, it is possible to buy a permit from the local Tabacs.
There is a market on in a town somewhere every day of the week. There is so much history in the area you are spoilt for choice. For us the best attraction of all is the French way of life, good food, good wine and good company, give it a try you will not regret it.
Payment
Inluded in the rental - all the bedding - sheets, duvets, towels bath, hand and swimming pool, tea-towels, electricity, gas, water, logs for the fire, pets. A deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before the holiday start date plus a refundable breakage deposit.
